Vandals scratch their tag into the glass using a carbide tip pen, or other implement. This weakens the glass and creates a stress point that degrades the integrity of the glass, risking cracks. We can grind beyond the damage to remove the damaged layers, then polish it back to full transparency.
Acid Etch Graffiti
Acid based graffiti chemically etches the glass surface, leaving a frosted or scarred appearance that cannot be removed by traditional methods. By grinding the glass just beyond the damage, then polishing back to transparency, we restore clarity and functionality to the glass.
Scratches on glass from accidents, or construction, as well as damage from environmental factors can also be restored and repaired.

1 – Damage Assessment
We inspect the glass in person to evaluate the type and thickness of the glass, along with the depth, size, location and height of damage. This assessment allows up to determine the severity of the issue and the safest restoration approach.
2 – Technique Confirmation and Estimate
Based on this assessment we confirm whether full restoration is feasible, determine tools and materials required and provide a detailed written proposal outlining recommended solution and cost.
3 – Immediate Scheduling
Once approved, we schedule your job promptly. Most graffiti removals are scheduled early morning to minimize disruption and for safety.
4 – Restoration and Cleanup
Restoration work is completed on site with minimal disruption using surface safe techniques. Upon completion the glass is thoroughly cleaned and inspected to ensure the glass is left clear, smooth and free of distortion.
HOW WE RESTORE OR REPAIR DAMAGED GLASS
Step 1 – Grind Out the Damage
To remove damage or repair scratches in glass we must grind the glass down beyond the damage. Because acid and scratches are deeper than most other damage, we must use our most aggressive removal method.
Step 2 – Pre Polish and Smooth
Once the damaged layers of glass have been removed, we expand the work area and smooth the surface to ensure minimal optical distortion.
Step 3 – Polishing
After we have pre polished and smoothed the area, we expand the work area again, polishing it back to full transparency and functionality.

Acid Etch Graffiti Removal
Acid Etching is done with acid cream or bath which the vandals use to etch their tag into glass. This leaves a frosting effect and degrades the integrity of the glass. Often, this frosting damage appears to be spray paint. When applying solvent to remove, it will look like it has been handled but the tag will quickly reappear.
Our process grinds the glass down to its deepest point of damage then smooths and polishes the glass back to transparency.
Scratch Graffiti Removal
Scratch Graffiti can be done with any implement but most often a carbide pen tip or a Dremel bit is used to scratch deep into the glass without breaking it. This leaves the glass weakened significantly and could crack as a result. The process to remove the scratches and restore the glass is similar to acid etch removal, however because the damage is much deeper we need to enlarge the area we restore to reduce optical distortion in increase the integrity of the glass. This is a lengthier process depending upon the size and depth of the scratch.

We take a number of factors under consideration when pricing glass restoration, such as size, depth and location of the damage. Our pricing begins at $300. Scratches tend to be more costly when depth of the damage becomes more severe and typically begins at $350
WHEN REPLACEMENT IS UNAVOIDABLE
While most etched and scratched glass can be successfully restored, there are cases where replacement may be the more practical option. If glass is affected by a combination of large-area acid etching and deep scratch graffiti, especially when the damage is extensive, aggressive, or located close to edges, restoration may require excessive material removal. In these situations, restoration can become less cost-effective or may compromise the structural integrity or visual uniformity of the glass. When this occurs, we’ll clearly explain your options and help you determine whether restoration or replacement makes the most sense.
